Abstracts are limited to 400 words, not including title or section headings.

Longer abstracts and incomplete forms will NOT be accepted.

Friday, January 19,2024: submissions by this date will receive priority consideration with a notification of acceptance status by Monday, January 29, 2024

Friday, February 16, 2024: abstract submission closes

Monday, February 26, 2024: final notification of abstract acceptance status

All oral presentations will be limited to 10 minutes or 15 minutes (please choose, below), with 5 additional minutes for discussion. Posters are limited to 24”x36” or 36” x 48” (landscape).
Abstracts may be structured (Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusions) or narrative.

Submit via the Cogan website. You will receive acknowledgement of receipt within a few days.

A scholarly forum for discussion on the history of ophthalmology.

The Cogan Ophthalmic History Society provides a scholarly forum for presentation and discussion of research on the history of ophthalmology and its associated fields. Organized in memory of David Glendenning Cogan, a pioneer in the study of history of ophthalmology, the Society sponsors a yearly meeting.
