The Cogan Ophthalmic History Society, a 501(c)(3) organization, EIN 46-4330500, provides a scholarly forum for presentation and discussion of research on the history of ophthalmology and its associated fields. Founded as the American Ophthalmic History Society by David Glendenning Cogan, a pioneer in the study of the history of ophthalmology, and renamed in his memory, the Society sponsors a yearly meeting.
